The Situation

Gorilla 360 are a growing digital marketing agency and were looking to expand their services into email marketing, particularly in email automation, as their client base was growing and want to provide more value to them using other channels. They reached out to Mando to get him on board for all Gorilla 360's clients to look after their email marketing.

The Challenge

As they needed to expand the team Gorilla 360 to get someone who knew email marketing, especially in terms of ecommerce. To add more value to their marketing services they wanted a data driven approach to their email marketing strategy that would take their clients above the competition who were essentially only sending out campaigns emails if any.

The Solution

Getting Mando on board really took Gorilla 360 email marketing to the next level. He introduced the team to Klaviyo to use for their ecommerce clients as a lot of them had been using MailChimp, Campaign Monitor and Active Campaign. To get things started he moved the clients from their current email service provider integrating the online store to Klaviyo. 

Mando created their email automation and growth strategies for all their clients from all types of ecommerce stores, such as musical instruments, golfing, ugg boots, even a even calming sensory clothing company and more. Implementing an automation package comprising of a Welcome Series, Abandoned Cart, Browse Abandonment, Winback, New Customer and other personalised automations.

The Results

Once the set up of Klaviyo, automation flows, and pop ups opt-ins were in place there were instant results that could be measured and traced back to the customer. Some of the results that were a result of Mando's work:

  • One client saw a 22% increase with email automation.

  • The same client had a value of $20.46 per recipient of the Welcome Series emails within 5 months.

  • Another client saw an 18% increase to online sales from email automation

  • 3x ROI within 90 days for another

  • Database growth saw a conversion rate 5%-9.5% for website visitors opting to the newsletter
